That’s what weighed heavily on the mind of event planner Roberta Lombardi, who is a breast cancer survivor herself and founder of the non-profit Infinite Strength.
DeLauro Introduces Bill to Increase Access to Scalp Cooling Therapy
Today, House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) introduced the Access to Scalp Cooling Therapy Act to expand health insurance coverage to scalp cooling therapy. This legislation would require all health insurers to provide coverage for scalp cooling treatments for chemotherapy patients who suffer from alopecia.

'An Evening in Pink' in Branford, raises $60,000 for breast cancer nonprofit, Infinite Strength
The group’s first gala after the pandemic seemingly went without a hitch at the Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club, despite a whirlwind of activity behind the scenes. The ballroom and dining rooms were bedecked with pink hydrangeas, pink paper lanterns and a pink champagne tower. Dressed in a striking purple sheath, Roberta Lombardi beamed as she hugged guests as they entered on July 16.
Small Madison Nonprofit 'Heaven-Sent Angels' to Breast Cancer Patients
A small nonprofit founded in 2018 has already had a big impact on the lives of some breast cancer patients — many who were facing “heartbreaking” circumstances. From paying the rent for a metastatic breast cancer patient so she would not be evicted, to paying for end-of-life medication for a woman with no health insurance, Infinite Strength stepped up.
